Printmaking is an art form that demands silence, attention, and patience. Each print preserves the trace of the artist’s work while simultaneously serving as a means to express what is difficult to put into words.
The exhibition features 58 works by 24 contemporary artists from Leipzig. Copper engravings, lithographs, linocuts, monotypes, and woodcuts come together in a shared visual dialogue about metamorphosis, memory, renewal, and the search for a safe space.
This exhibition holds special significance for Zaporizhzhia. It was created as a space for quiet contemplation, reflection, and emotional recovery. The works by graphic artists from Leipzig are presented in our city as a gesture of solidarity with and support for the people of Ukraine.
"Zone of Light" serves as a reminder that even in difficult times, art can create a space where one can pause, take a breath, and be alone with their own thoughts.
